History

Kjell A Østnes AS was established in 1993. The company is based upon our experience in marketing, sales, operations, maintenance, upgrading, modifications and other types of support of helicopters in the Norwegian offshore- and onshore market.

Since 1995, the company has been the exclusive representative of the helicopter manufacturer EUROCOPTER in Norway. Since 1997 we have also represented TURBOMECA, who among other manufacture turbine engines for most Eurocopter helicopters.

Later on we signed the deal to represent NHIndustries, the company who has developed and manufacture the NH90, which was recently chosen to be the new common helicopter for the Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish Army.

Our offer to the Norwegian market was further extended when we became representative agent for HELISIM in 2001. Helisim can offer operational and technical education, as well as operational and technical training at their new, highly advanced simulator- and training center.
